The challenge
Leadership relied on a static monthly report that took a day to compile by hand, meaning decisions were often made on data that was already a few weeks old.
The solution
The underlying data sources were connected directly into a Power BI dashboard with scheduled refreshes, so the same information leadership used to wait a month for was available in near real time.
The outcome
Removed a monthly manual data pull and gave leadership a live view instead of a static report.
What I learned
Dashboards fail when nobody trusts the numbers. Getting the data model right — and clearly labelling what each figure meant — mattered more than any visual polish.
